Everyone has their fair share of vague ideas on what the refresh
button really does. For some, the refresh button may function like a quick
bath or perhaps, what it feels like to pee in the middle of a road trip. Whenever a page does not load properly or looks like it’s straight outta 1994, refresh is the go-to button. Though we’re not entirely sure how it works, it makes us feel better knowing that it’s there for us at times of anxiety and terrible internet connection.
Computer savvy people have actually tried to explain how the refresh button goes. We just don’t listen, duh. But for future reference, they said that whenever the refresh button is clicked, the browser retrieves a resource on the Internet to update the web page and the cache stored in the computer. Zzzz
