Story about Android Icon
Android controls most of the smartphones existing today. In virtually all countries, it has successfully defended its stake against Apple’s operating software giant, iOS. Yup, a million bruised egos of Apple fanboys have just been recorded. The eternal smartphone war has divided the world between iOS users and Android users. Each user is equipped with their smartphone—always ready for combat. Harsh words are constantly thrown here and there, along with creative insults like “garbage” and its entire list of synonyms. We hear “overrated” repeatedly, as the comment section is blown out of proportion. Somewhere out there, a flip phone user is laughing at the world as she nonchalantly sends out a singular text.
It was in 2007 when the green Android robot was launched among humans. Created by graphic designer Irina Blok, the logo was actually derived from the human figure plastered on restroom doors. The robot has since been known to everyone as the Android icon.
