Story about PDF Filled Icon
PDF, or Portable Document Format, is a universal file format developed by Adobe Systems. PDF enabled people to transfer documents digitally without having to change the layout, texts, fonts, and graphics. It was the brainchild of John Warnock, who dreamed of a paperless office.
With the popularity of the PDF, physical books and shelves feared their looming death. Libraries were shaken to the core. They gathered bookworms in support of their cause. Alas, they only found five people reading books in the library and the rest were either browsing through their phones or asleep. PDFs won without even lifting a finger, but they thanked all the humans who were committed to their sleep.
The PDF logo consists of an A (also used as the logo of Adobe Acrobat) inside a sheet of paper with its upper right corner folded or curled. This icon is used to indicate the presence of documents in PDF format, which means the file can be opened in virtually any device.
Here is our version of the PDF icon:
Another file format giving physical books a run for its money is the EPUB, which is the primary file format of eBooks.

As for Warnock’s dream of a paperless office, it cannot be affirmed yet, but there might be a people-less library somewhere.
