This is a Close Window Filled icon. We've made it in iOS style, first introduced in iOS version 7 and supported in all later releases up until now (at least iOS 11). This style is based on thin two-pixel lines and is optimized for 50x50 px. Unlike other vector icon packs that have merely hundreds of icons, this icon pack contains 12,400 icons, all in the same style and quality.
The icon is a close window symbol, which consists of a box or square shape. Inside the square shape there is a black X in the middle. The X doesn’t completely fill the box but is right in the center of the box.
We've received the idea on May 27, 2012 and created the icons on June 05, 2012
fabulous work btw! I was hoping to request the minimise, maximise and close buttons for a wpf app.
Story about Close Window Icon
You are familiar with the Close Window Icon if you are reading this unless you’ve been living in a cave for two decades. The close window is the most dreaded icon to be accidentally pressed if you are working on something urgent. It will close the window you are working on, and it is possible that your work will not be saved. If you are searching for a sensitive topic in your computer and someone walks in to check what you are doing, the Close Window Icon will then be your friend. Not only will it close the secret window you are looking at, but it will also save yours from embarrassment or ridicule from colleagues.
