Idea of Control Panel Icon
The control panel icon is a rectangle shape and in the shape there will be another rectangular shape outside to have a 3 dimensional view. Inside the rectangles, there will be many tiny rectangles to represent the buttons that control different things.
This Control Panel icon is made in Material Design style developed by Google. This style is based on extremely simplified shapes, thin two-pixel lines, and is optimized for 24x24 px. Unlike other vector icon packs that have merely hundreds of icons, this icon pack contains 5,700 icons, all in the same style and quality.

Idea of Control Panel Icon by D. Rubber

We've received the idea on September 25, 2013 and created the icons on October 1, 2013

A dashboard/control panel icon with six buttons. Good candidate for this icon:
Control Panel icons (but without the solar sun and without the standing base/foot) Keep the dashboard tilted drawn like it is now. Buttons should be drawn with rounded edges if possible. No circled buttons please. Thanks.

Example of a real life control panel:
Control Panel icon
I want to tell the user by pressing the "control panel" icon, that the user is prompted with all the control buttons of the machine/application. He/she gets full control over the machine/application. The control panel is not really a dashboard, because a dashboard is used to present measurement values to the user. The control panel is the reverse of the dashboard: pressing buttons makes the measured values (which are shown on the dashboard) change over time. Please only show buttons on the control panel, NO analog switches or rotary selectors/switches! Thanks!
